I didn't realize how broken native screenshots on macOS were until I started using CleanShot. @lukaszmtw and team built a tool that I didn't even know I wanted or needed until using it, and now I can't imagine going back.

The app itself has some killer UX behind it. Screenshots and recordings sit at the corner of your monitor until you're ready to use them. Other little niceties are in there, like customizing how it treats window grabs. Just really nice as hell all the way around.

I didn't even bother reading the marketing page, just saw the email and and insta-bought it. I use PixelSnap and CleanShot every day. Great apps!

Don't remember who recommended it, but CleanShot on Mac is a fantastic screenshot app. Replaces the built in features with a lot more goodies. I use it every single day. 🪄

Cleanshot does something macOS already does, taking screenshots, but 1000X better 🔥 It even records GIFs! You need to try it to understand how essential it can be.

Just bought it and I've barely scratched the surface, but so far it's amazing. I use annotation heavily for customer support and help docs, and this easily blows away Mac's annotation in Preview.

I find it so amazing to be able to use tools like CleanShot to share quick thoughts rather than having to jump on "quick calls". This allows for better (+async) communication! You can always jump on a call if it's really needed, but you can share so much more way earlier.

Here's my semi-regular reminder that if you work on a Mac and you aren't using CleanShot X, you are missing out.

If you do a lot of Mac screen recording or capturing screenshots or videos Cleanshot X is the answer.

Came back here to say that I tried CleanShot based on recommendations and… Wow! Blown away that it replaces the functionality of Loom that I need (quick start screencast video with webcam in it) for a one time purchase.

I switched from LICEcap to CleanShot X a while ago and *highly recommend it* It can do screenshots, GIFs, movies, and it's one of the best Mac apps I've used.

Fwiw, CleanShot has been my go-to for some months now and it's STELLAR, worth every penny.

It's such a big time saver for me and I use it throughout the day and night. It's featured rich as I can quickly take the screenshots/video captures and annotate them to clipboards and just paste them in my fav messengers, emails, etc...right away 🙌🏻

If you're using macOS i can highly recommend CleanShot. It allows to capture audio, microphone and camera along with the screen, shows clicks and keystrokes and has pretty nice post capture trimming tool.

I use CleanShot, it can record as gif directly, showing things like clicks or even keystrokes. It has many nice features for taking screenshots too. It's paid, but it was one of the best apps I've ever purchased.

Besides what CleanShot said, the in-built text capture is a HUGE perk. I really love to have Screen recording, Text recognition and Quick capture in just one app. I'd highly recommend the app for anyone how would love to have an all-around-app and hate software clutter

One of my absolute favorite pieces of software. This is the best $30 any developer could spend to improve communication with teammates and stakeholders. Being able to quickly drop annotated screenshots and quick recordings into PRs, issues, and emails is a super power.

CleanShot is such a fantastically well designed piece of software. Now that GitHub supports .mov for videos I'm finding myself including a video for nearly all pull requests, and I'm just loving all the little touches in CleanShot. Highly recommended!

If you build software and don't use CleanShot, you should give it a try immediately. It's stupidly well built and even supports Loom style videos now, except it's blazing fast, feels as simple as taking a screenshot, is very cheap, and has some great features few others have.

CleanShot is phenomenal. I had used Skitch earlier, but find CleanShot's IxD much closer to my personal preferences and workflows. It's just extremely well designed, says I, the super-pedantic designer. 😎

If you're a #macOS user, take screenshots more than once a day and not using CleanShot you're doing it wrong. Well worth the one-time cost. Makes my life so much easier.

One of my favorite applications lately is CleanShot. It's one of the best screenshot and recording app on macOS. I have even configured a dedicated key on my moonlander to invoke it.
